EBS Documentary “Lost Human” has won the “Best Documentary Series” at the Asian Television Awards(ATA) in December 2017, which is the biggest Awards in the Asian Region. More than 1300 entries from 20 countries had entered to over 40 Awards Categories, and judged by over 60 judges from across the region.

Ever since the beginning of the history of mankind, there had been more than 24 species existed on the Earth. However only the current species has survived. Why, and how? The documentary raises this question, and explores what happened before we begin to exist, following guidance of both domestic and international palaeoanthropologists. The research and interviews were conducted in total 8 countries including UK, USA, Spain, Japan, Tunisia and the scenes of the early days of human history were filmed in Iceland, Indonesia and Tanzania across the continents. Based on the bone fragments excavated so far, they enlivened their lives with special makeup and primitive behavior training. To make those more vivid, they actually went to the cold Iceland for reproducing the lives of Neanderthal Man of the Ice Age, and cast local actors who are only 120cm height for the role of Hobit, the Homo Floresiensis.

The documentary was broadcasted in November 2016, and it had won the 2017 Grand Remi Awards at the World-fest Huston Film Festival as well. <End>
